Ok, Im not real sure what this whole Breakstep thing is all about.
I got into Dubstep via breaks a couple years ago and have since been trying to mix the two together while i continue to do both seperately. Also, I have a tendency to be unsure what label to put on a lot of my records. Dark Breaks? Garage Breaks? Speed Garage? Breakstep?
Ive given up on labels, but would like to see if anyone would call any portion of this mix breakstep. Or, maybe its not the individual tracks that require the label, but the mix as a whole.
Preview: It starts with some harder dubstep: Skream, Tech Itch, and others. It moves to some darker breaks, both UK and US, hits a lot of Bingo Beats, and ends with some Grim Dubs and Black Ops.
Basically came about from a promoter asking me to get him a darker mix for a side stage he was putting together, which then never panned out because he fled to Vegas and some other people were in charge of the party and never got the word.
