I've never been to any Soul Champion events, even though I've made journeys down to NYC for Dubwar and Trouble + Bass. Mainly because as you say I can never really find anyone interested in the tunes except my best friend, who prefers to play self indulgent sets at his own house parties...

Kind of unexpected to see this stuff in the Phoenix...good article though.

(and i would consider seeing a "bassline showcase" in Boston just out of wild curiosity(dance challenged as everyone here seems to be) but alas I'll be in NJ this weekend.)

The night on sunday will be two Dubstep DJs and, Geoff in the middle doing Bassline. The event is every last Sunday of the month so don't worry if you can't make it this month becouse, he plays like two Dubstep tunes and then unleashes the Bassline most of the time. I'm going to push the sound more this year in Boston and, hope that it'll take off. Also check the Dubstep night (Bassic) every last Wensday at the Goodlife. Next month Caspa will be coming through.

Got a bassline tune stuck in my head. They have vocalled a women sample saying "its you", bok bok had a track by nitro on his fact end of year mix with the same sample but the track im thinking of is different. dj q's 'what to do' vocal sounds alike, but different words. driving me nuts.
