I still have dozens of CD-rs of Skream Rinse shows from early 2000s, from before Soundcloud streaming, downloaded from Bare Files. you couldn't really buy any of the records here at first, so was the only way in. I know he eventually kind of lost the plot but those early shows were pretty great.

describes the early music fairly well, though, doesn't it? following on other genres (2-step, tech-step) and it was dark and dubby at first.
 
I think you probably hate by association as much as anyone else most names for things are really bad.

yes this is true house and garage surely the most boring but good by association

jungle potentially awful but actually the best and most evocative

hip hop is extremely bad and awful to say out loud

Jungle is an amazing name but if you didn't know it it would sound the most horrifying genre name of them all like when Corpsey said he hates ooga booga music
