Yeah it was so rammo. I didn't realise he was going to play such an epic set. I think something would have to be ridiculously good to tempt me back to Fabric.
have you seen the Dublime line-up for 25th May? Iration steppas, Pinch, Kode9, Scratch Perry live, Congo Natty live, Caspa and Rusko, Loefah, Appleblim vs Peveralist, Warrior Queen, Flowdan, Blackdown and more. fabric's undoubtably shit these days, but that line up is a beast...

Totally passed me by - what sort of vibe?

Amazing to hear that Mikey Murka is now doing "dubstep" (i.e. 70bpm dancehall with added sub).

sci-fi 8-bit digi dub (sleng teng style)- do overs of a couple of classic jammy's and pablo cuts (well, basslines) as well as original stuff. really well paced and a right grower.

Hmm, that is quite a monster I must admit. Have to see how it goes. Mala is playing with Adrian Sherwood at Cargo on same night for a more chilled alternative.

fabrics always been shit, i went on the opening night and it was as rubbish then as it has been since. its such a bastard because their line ups frequently rock. i mean, lee scratch perry for christ sake? why there???

i wonder whether hes playing anywhere tolerable in london in addition?

i dunno, for such a big space i don't think its so bad. Room 2 in particular can be pretty sick. on that night in particular it will be amazing in there i reckon, im definitely going to go

the atmosphere is just horrible in there, overcrowded, lots of beered up arseholes. but i haven't been for a few years so maybe its turned itself around. its got a bad reputation generally, even for central london. i'm too old now to put up with being herded round like cattle in clubs.
