are fans in the seats? US baseball starting up in a couple of weeks, playing in empty stadiums will be weird. guy hits a home run and no roar of the crowd, will just be like pre-game batting practice. 60-game season, down from the normal 162.

I wasn't keen on the fake crowd noises at first but I now really like the whole vibe on telly. I like how they aee pumping appropriate noise in at dramatic moments. It's a bit weird, sort of truman show. I was thinking that they could start selling TV monitor space, so you could pay to have your mug in the stands.

Greenwood scored again... apparently a good one too although I haven't 'seen it yet. His ratio of goals to shots must be incredible.

Seen it now... he really fucking twatted it, keeper was nowhere near. Seems to strike the ball very cleanly almost every time.

Utd doing well today too, Chelsea got dicked on and now after bossing the first half and leading 1-0 for most of the game Leicester have suddenly contrived to give away two goals and have a man sent off in two minutes of madness.

Blimey 4-1 Bournemouth in the end, I enjoyed the Guardian summary
Bournemouth were hopeless and hapless in the first half but their ineptitude was no match for Leicester’s second-half collapse, featuring horrible defending, a lack of energy and a loss of discipline through Soyoncu, and that came *after* a goal. Credit to Bournemouth, though. They fight on.

So Dortmund have signed this guy Bellingham from Birmingham City. Quite interesting that they are snapping up these English youngsters... on the whole I think it's a good think that these kids are playing abroad, and for the first time in years England is producing some exciting youngsters that teams like Dortmund or Bayern are keen to buy. I bet some of the Prem clubs are smarting though that he got nicked from under their noses. What is it that they can offer that prem teams can't? Better development? More prospects of first team football?

shame I'm in turkey, would have loved to chat up a shed bumpkin's missus over 10 double rums from under his nose and convert her to a gunner life.

Better a red than a Shedhead ted!

I didn't watch it but sounds like City were too strong for Real... Sarri sacked by Juventus after exit to Lyon. So Juventus are kinda saying that their new manager has to win the CL in the first season... well, ok, maybe final or semi or something would be acceptable, but seems kinda crazy to me that you get in a new manager and a load of new players and you only give him one season to adjust, get everything sorted out and be firing absolutely on all cylinders. He won the league which is as much as any of the last few managers have managed.
