I keep seeing that reported. Quite funny if true although there always seem to be a few uncertainties in the reporting.
I was hoping you'd come here to say that Messi had signed for West Ham or something.

Could be a good job to avoid and be the next one in. Lots of clearing out to be done before any progress likely to be made. Poch to come in 12 months time with a big chequebook when Koeman has taken the flak for as long as he can bear.

He said that previously.... I agree that Koeman is a stop-gap. One day it will be Xavi I guess assuming he has some kind of semi-successful coaching career over the next few years.
Who in world football has a really good record lately? I mean even if you could magically pick anybody I don't know who you would go for... Klopp or Flick probably.

Klopp, Flick ... Simeone - not everyone’s favourite but all things considered he’s done well with what he has.

But all the evidence is that Atleti are going backwards - maybe you could argue Simeone would rise to a new challenge but he seems to have run out of steam a little there.6 Zidane, I dunno, do you really kickstart Barcelona by bringing in the manager of a team who got knocked out of the CL the round before they did?
This is what I mean by saying that even those who have loads of pots in their history are tainted by more recent failures.

I often wonder that.... we would need to ask Crackerjack except he hasn't posted for years. Although I am friends with him on fb so I could find out I guess.
A number of other threads are titled Rolling Travel Thread or whatever though so that might provide a clue.

I like that Luka made a Chelsea vs. Barcelona thread in Art, Literature & Film.

I barely watch football these days. I don't have BT Sport anymore, I cba jumping from dodgy stream to dodgy stream and it's just so rotten I struggle to enjoy it anyway. We know too much of the politicking and corruption that goes on behind the scenes. A club like Barcelona's just appalling. There's also the fact so many of the fans, players etc are arseholes. How many Brazilian players are there who support Bolsonaro? The coverage is just dross too. Every game the same cliches from the commentators, the fans, the pundits. Now and then I'll see Messi or whoever do something incredible and for a few seconds it'll all wash away, but it's fleeting.

Thought this comment on Guardian was pretty funny

The amount of money spent has been quite disgusting. It's particularly galling when you remember how the club were very much a model in the first part of the last decade, like watching a self employed family man who hunts and farms to produce most of his own food transform himself into a flabby, cowardly, couch potato who lives on junk food,

I'm just not arsed enough to risk viruses, dropping streams etc. I used Twitch for a while and I'd be having to find a new one every couple of minutes and with stuff like vipleague I'd be having to go through my scriptblocker working out which of the tens of things running on the page would allow the stream to run without forcing me to click on anything, look at ads etc.
