Seems Chelsea are pulling out of Superleague after fan protests.... Guardiola has criticised City's involvement.... Ed Woodward has resigned though I dunno precisely why.

I don't follow this stuff and even I'm amused at how quickly this major initiative appears to have crashed and burned. how could they have not expected this reaction and outcome? hubris?

I think it was a load of foreign (mainly US) owners who didn't understand the culture and depth of feeling.... and Agnelli who is a cunt.*

It is being very widely reported that Arsenal are about to release a statement announcing their withdrawal from the Super League project, with Liverpool not far behind. Meanwhile the chief Manchester United reporter on the Manchester Evening News has tweeted that United are also out.

*I could have said Perez here.

But I think they thought they would meet some initial resistance and then when Juve v Barca rolled around all the fans would watch it anyway. I thought the same.

Jah Wobble has weighed in....

And verily every one of the 6 accursed tribes had , in order to atone , to offer up in sacrifice , not only the favourite son, but the father himself, so they would then go accursed , and much diminished (points docked), into the desert , where there was no fruit or sustenance

It looks as though Inter and AC are pulling out... but it's still going ahead with, er, the Spanish clubs and Juventus?
