[Neymar] The only regret I have is not hitting that asshole in the face

Neymar on Alvaro Gonzalez: “He was being a racist, that’s why I hit him.”

What's the best bit of football violence you've done wash your hands?

One of my brothers Dagenham mates had this CD of his dad performing live in a pub singing his own self written songs and accompanying himself on the piano and all the songs were about legendary feats of football violence with the ICF. It was an amazing cultural document. I feel stupid for not having secured a copy.

That depends what you mean by best. The mid to late 80’s were the sketchiest. Worst was indirect - being at the wrong tube stop at the wrong time on drugs not designed for violence after being up for 36hours. Spare you the details.

Plenty of Old Firm games get tasty but it’s saltiness of the working class kind, the sectarianism is pathetic though. Hibs away has traditionally been the “best” for sheer fear and terror. Definitely Hibs, personally, but we all have to grow up. I support Celtic, but follow Forest. Forest‘s Executive lot were such a bunch of muppets, embarrassing.

Not a fan of bullies but the paradox is they litter this specific world. Glorifying it is impossible when you’ve seen wee kids scared and crying caught in the middle of carnage.

Can't believe Liverpool were dragging their feet over 30m for Thiago. Shouldn't complain as I'm always shaking my head at the amount of money tossed around these days and it's good to see a club being a bit more financially conservative, but 30m seems like a steal for him.

They look a lot stronger for sure.
Suarez is going to Atletico apparently... kinda strange one, Barcelona certainly didn't want it to happen.

Yes, he's off.

I really hope they don't get a replacement 9 like Lautaro and stick Messi back on the wing, or any new project would be dead in the water.

Messi has been playing as the false 9 in the pre-season and the team has looked so much more balanced. Seems like the only setup that will tolerate his positional anarchy and lack of defensive contribution without falling to pieces.

I thought he was currently playing the ten in a 4-2-3-1. Either way, he's much better through the middle.

Still early days but very very excited about this new Barca. The Celta game is the most inspired I've seen that team in 5 years and that's not hyperbole.

They would have lost that game last season. They hadn't won away at Celta for like five years or something. Mad they won 3-0 with a man sent off.
