a wonderful wooden reason
that 'trance of seven colors' is the sort of thing i would have hoped to find here, thanks
It's a bit of a winner that. But then I love lots of Pharoah Sanders. Wonder why the CD is so dear? Do you know any more about it bnek - what year etc.?

not really, sorry :( at least nothing more than i can glean from the interwebs - it was released in '94, according to amazon. a few years back i was really into sanders (still am but ive been neglecting his stuff lately) - i could find 'creator has a master plan', 'thembi' and 'journey in sachidananda' easily and had to d/l a bunch of other stuff, including 'trance of seven colors' - Hamdouchi always stood out to me from that. i missed seeing Pharoah Sanders when he was here earlier in the year; there was an article in the paper where he said he wasnt getting that many gigs, and couldnt afford to live in new york anymore (think it said he's in LA) - pretty sad, hes quite underrated i think.

everything's roses is a great song, too... i like their vocal tracks, their instrumentals get a bit boring...

That's weird, because I don't think Justice would be considered hipster music over here in blighty. Just like stoopid, fun student dance like Fatboy Slim or the Chems.

adult. built their entire career on this scene:

This is pretty widely available but I looked and couldn't find a mention of it on dissensus...

...and its undeniably awesome white hot post-Tropicalia(1975) Brazilian psych.
This is one of the most rocking Brazilian tunes i've come across.

it's... pre-programed! :D yeah that is a wicked scene. adult is so... inconsequential. what the fuck is the point with all the irony and posturing at the end of the day? we are miserable and we want to keep it that way? the 16 part of me likes that frank sinatra song though.

and here is that track from the deathly stranglehold thread:

if there is interest i can share the entire album. it has bird-ladies singing on it! and also out of print.

i know, the adult. show i saw was one of the all-time worst i've ever seen. ever. i just love that scene, and the entire movie, it's hilarious: "apple pie...sheiiiit"

EDIT:I think the point is called "cocaine problem" with Adult. That lead singer girl was well into a bout of coke psychosis at the show methinks

EDIT2: Frank Sinatra is by Miss Kittin and the Hackers, actually. Same diff.
