if by girly you mean lots of watery vocals, then im ok with funky becoming more blokey. ;P id be happy if there was a bit less dubstep influence.
Couldn't disagree any more. I love that track and mostly everything Jae Elle puts her voice in, Beautiful with Dj Eastwood is another anthemic one, and most of what she did with Whitecoat is the same. I'm very happy that she's starting to be sort of a muse for a lot of funky producers.
I don't really hear anything dubstep-ish in there.
Also, and I don't know if this is exactly the case but I found this in most places that talk about funky on the internet, I resent the implication that UK funky needs to resemble UK garage to be validated.
