The Breakfast Club - if only because it contains one of each of the principle American high-school stereotypes turned up to eleven.

But Ferris Bueller features sportos, motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, waistoids, dweebies, and dickheads. That's a rainbow coalition of sub-cultures right there!

Loads of biker ones of course if they count. I reckon they do.
Beat Girl is kind of about a Soho cafe society type scene of (wannabe) beatnicks if I remember rightly.
Tonight Let's All Make Love In London.
I'd be interested to see a film about teddy boys.

"Punks in Prague" - BBC documentary ('91?) following some naive, slightly over-polite Czech anarcho-punks around, and nazi skinhead bands Orlik and Branik

"Skinheads" - BBC, '82? The one with Combat 84 (this is probably on YouTube somewhere) and the big nightclub ruck

"Meantime" ('83) - one of the bleakest skinhead-related films ever made, by Mike Leigh but don't let that put you off

"Rockers" - best rasta film ever

"Psychomania" - zombie Hells Angels - the scenes where they commit suicide and terrorise the shoppers are genius

Does La Dolce Vita count? It's about hip young-ish people but they're not exactly teenagers.

I've heard that Bowie's Absolute Beginners was a big influence on 80s fashion, even if it was: a) set in the late 50s and b) total shit.

Has there been a film or doc about emo yet? Does anyone care enough about it to bother?

Does anyone even understand it?

No-one understands me.

I hate you.
