The Wire is over - discussion, spoilers inside

You scored 11 out of a possible 16 -"College kids ain't shit!".

Did anyone else spot the barmaid from the second series (then in the stevedores's bar) turning up briefly (as in two seconds) in a bar down where they are doing the classic regeneration-by-the-river scheme? Or was I seeing sights?

when me and my girlfriend are bored at parties we play "who would you sleep with in this room if you had to choose one person", and sometimes we do it with movies or in this case, television. after some thought, she finally said stringer bell if she can only chooose one, but ideally it'd be a tag team situation with stringer and avon. the question was harder for me because there is a lack of sexy females... the stripper i guess.

zhao, i love you, but can you please stop posting this in every thread?

Snoop was recently on Anthony Bourdain's show:

also, someone shot up Marlowe's baby shower recently, in real life:

they shot a dude, then followed the ambulance and ambushed him at the hospital... that's some Wire shit, right there...... kinda crazy he still lives in Flatbush...

Why did Mike leave Dukwon to go and live in a crack den when Mike had loads of money and Dukie had been looking after bug faithfully?

I got proper teary eyed when Bug started crying cos he had to leave them.

benjybars

village elder.
cos, as Michael says, he's too hot for Dukwon to be around now... although i agree he should have given him a big bag of cheese to send him on his way.

p.s. The actor who plays Bug is so, so good.

It was too hot for sure but dropping off your best mate outside some knackers yard/crack den thing (what was it supposed to be?!) when he's been looking after your baby bro and you have loads of money is a bit weird, especially as Mike had a bit of the moral fortitude Chris and Snoop for instance lacked.

Also thought it was a bit unbelievable that Chris would take 25 years for Marlo...

Know what you're saying, he could've throw him some dosh. The makers took a few liberties to underline the cyclical nature of the drug scene, with Michael becoming the new Omar and Dukey, Bubs.
