Watched the second episode of Del Toro's "Cabinet of Curiosities" thing last night. The first episode was shit but the second one ends in a pleasingly gruesome way and without spoiling anything is HEAVY on the Lovecraft.
Hey, I best Spitting Image or whoever could do a GREAT skit on this, only the 'cabinet' in question would be the cabinet of the present UK government!!! Ha ha ha!

Corpsey

bandz ahoy
Just watched this one. Some gruesome bits to enjoy (not least the ending), although in many ways crap and all over the place 😅.

The episode called "The Autopsy" is the best one I've seen so far, felt very much inspired by Lovecraft. Cosmic horror from outer space. Very gory.

Ah I watched the first three last night. Autopsy was by far the best.

I intended to start a thread about GdT's series but never quite got around to it. I agree that 'The Autopsy' was excellent, probably the best one, although 'The Outside' (about the plain, eccentric woman who buys the magic/cursed skin cream) was great too. Of the two Lovecraft adaptations, 'Pickman's Model' wasn't too bad, although not half as effective as it could have been, while 'The Dreams in the Witch-House' was a total disaster.
