I really wish I could come to this as the lineup is wicked but I'm struggling to think of a way to get home in less than 2 hours :(

it's home :)

lots of trees and posh schools and delicatessens - all the things I need for raising my 2.4 children

This is true. It also has everything you need for when they're a bit older - lots of green space for cider-drinking and that crap hippie shop from which to buy disappointing mushrooms.

It's a nice area, stop hating, you Easterners!

I am umming and aaahing about the event itself.

"The Mangal is amazing! Get yourself there immediately. Bring your own booze, big portions of freshly chargrilled lamb, nice fresh bread and salad. Better than the one on Kinsland Road which Gilbert and George frequent."
For me the best kebab type shop is the one across the road from Mangal - what's it called now? - it's kind of on a side street just south of the cinema and north of the station.

Any one meeting up before hand? Don't fancy my chances of recognising any of you in visions, despite all the great description in the Dalston drinks thread.

It was a good one - Oneman is one of the best djs working today, end of.

had to leave a bit early but hope the rest was as good as what I saw and that it continues.

was a looooooort. oneman his usual self, marcus playing intriguing bubbling stuff (where does he get those riddims??), dexplicit having a bit of fun with the small dancefloor and trying some new things out, but every bit as banging as he always is.

and we saw gilbert and george in mangal! very successful evening.
