is there a second volume of this collection? i have the first one, two cds inside a cool book, great package, very cool sampler of the label from maybe 5-6 years ago. i vaguely recall talk of a second volume being released, wonder if that's what you are talking about.


(EDIT: ah yes, just did a search and see there is a volume 2, released last year. too bad it costs US$66...)

enjoyed this - dizze's such a dude - tho watching it does just remind you how drastically the gossipmongers play montain/molehill with this stuff.


on another tip, albums by Fuck Buttons, Atlas Sounds and Raekwon. and the new amorphous androgynous mix-up

what's the verdict on new Jigga? heard once, sounded kinda aiight, but felt no urge to rush back there

I bought some Sublime Frequency CDs last week which vary in quality dramatically. The good is the Algerian proto-rai CD compilation, which is amazing throughout and is being played relentlessly my gaff right now.

The bad is a Command Vermelho CD compilation which just sucks ass in every way.

I'm also as obsessed as you can get with Model 500 right now. Vessels in Distress, what a song:

I have to admit, it's not life-shattering, but I did sleep on Masta Ace's "Sittin' On Chrome"

Only just found a copy of G-Unit's "Beg For Mercy", which I must've bought about five years ago, and cringed to myself. Stuck it in the CD player and was shocked at how good the album sounded (production-wise at least). Hate on the clique lyrically, but their production choices are on-point.
