I havent read this essay but Ive read other posts on his blog and it didnt strike me as more intimidating than other successful blogs.

I think the Dick vs Camera Obscura essay really help light up this trade-off we're talking about. Camera Obscura is perfectly unintimidating and clear but also, isn't that guy who wrote it like, super lame? Dick it's intimidating but you kinda think, woh, this guy's cool

I've read two and didn't have much trouble. I guess you could tighten up the quoting a little as the formatting's a bit weird and you don't seem to like attribution.
