So when is this actually going to happen, then? :)

Yeah yeah, g/f, daughter, life, whatever. EXCUSES.

My attempts at organising beers recently have met with unprecendented fassy behaviour from various people who will not be named here.

There is talk of something happening 23rd or 24th next week tho...

Fuck every single one of you. I'm going to the Milestone by Mile End tube by myself. If it's open this week.

Haha, oh blimey, that place. It was, rather incongruously, called VIRTUE {sic.} for about six months last year. It was The Matter Of Time before that, IIRC.

(Only joking - you can come for drinks in Hackney. If you're good.)

Darned cockwombles.
Are people who are from south London allowed to come if they regularly frequent north London to see how the existentially-poorer half live?

Yes, if you bring us trinkets from that Persian superstore in Camberwell with which we can line our nests.

Ha! Only if it's a literal nest. I might in fact be going there this weekend as it happens, as I plan to cook khoresht fesenjan at some point very soon (chicken with pomegranate and walnuts). Though it's Peckham, opposite the library.

I believe Hades permits South Londoners to visit North London for a few months each year, thanks to the intercession of Zeus.

Well I keep blowing you out over squash so I guess it's karma or something. Tentatively next week though maybe...

Two of my housemates witnessed that shooting in London Fields yesterday, or at least heard it and saw the aftermath. A bystander's in critical with their stomach blown out, apparently.

God, there are some proper evil shits in this town, aren't there? :(

I was in the park then as well. Didn't really notice anything until a helicopter kept flying over, only realised what was going on a bit later.
In better news (er, apart from anyone who got kicked out of their property to make way for it) - who has been on the East London line extension bit? Pretty cool views and a weird unLondony cleanness make it a nice journey. I was pretty wet-tipped about going on it and it lived up to my expectations.
