I struggled to follow quite a lot of it, but imagery like decapitated heads hiding in plant pots was all I needed to keep going. a lockdown giallo treat

not sure if Jose Ramon Larraz has been covered here, but i thought i should hype Whirlpool. i preferred it to Vampyres, loved it in fact. i plan to watch
Edge of the Axe next

Keep 'em coming mate... I don't really have much to say about 'em but I eventually try and check 'em out.

I'm a bit surprised he hadn't already died years ago. I feel like his 60s scores are the scores of someone not quite e an old man, but certainly someone of advanced age and skill.

I felt a bit  when I heard this news, but now, listening to all my favorite Ennio hits and bits, I feel hugely uplifted.

What a body of work, what a legacy and what a life fully lived!

I remember getting hold of all the Mondo Morricone CDs in 2003 and feeling like I'd been given the key to a new world. Before that I'd had the big double anthology which had tons of amazing things on it, but was missing that beautiful underworld of lush giallo and exploitation scores that actually forms the bedrock of his achievement.

RIP

Always wanted to explore his work more, but I think I was daunted by the scale of it. And the price - given by stupid fetish for OG LPs.
