Stelfox posted some on his blog recently, and a quick youtube search gives over stuff like this

Isn't it? Sorry to Dave if I've pre-empted him or anything, but I was just blown away. Kinda calling Sufi and Zhao for more info cos I'm totally sold. If you follow the links from that one there's just some amazing stuff.

not sure if dave already mentioned it (sorry i'm new, hello!) but v. 11 of the ethiopiques series, 'the harp of king david,' is fully devoted to begena music and is unmissable. someone needs to hitch some sine waves to those bass patterns.

could be wrong but begena traditonally is only played during times of fasting -- perfect for me at the moment :D
