Saw her for a bit aye, played a lot of good tracks, Geeneus etc as well as some of her own stuff, but I preferred Jack & Bok Bok's set, a good mix of funky/grime/bmore club styles going down.

Hardly an 'event', but yestereday I finally made a pilgrimage to Rubadub Records. Where I managed to browse for about 2-3 minutes before leaving without buying anything - haha, I still find small/specialist record shops pretty intimidating. It looked to be really good though, loads of great techno stuff of various sorts.
Think a Glasgow-centric blog post of some kind might be in order soon, just need to get my head round things a little better first though.

Ohmygosh, Friday night was fantastic. Gemmy and Guido absolutely smacked it. Hearing it in a club you realise a lot of their tunes still have big bass to go along with the huge,crazy synth melodies. It's the perfect combo really.
Place was really busy, but with just enough space left that you could dance or move around without constantly bumping into people. Once again a really friendly crowd, loads of smiles on people's faces. One chap even generously shared his water with me, old-school rituals . And the Sub Club's low ceiling over the dancefloor is perfect for banging your hands against in a show of belligerent appreciation for the djs.
Jack, please give my sincere apologies to whoever it was that I spoke to before I spoke to you. I am 100% useless in all social situations.
