Granted, Peter Green was an decent player. Seen him live a few years back when he simply stood there in a total acid haze barely able to hold the guitar, but still showed a few little flashes of brilliance.
But I stand by my original statement. 'FM' are trewly horrible in every respect:(

As much as I don't like the music, I'd have to say he is more the a "decent" player and I also doubt it was the acid that put him in a haze.

yeah, suppose I was bein a little harsh. A very good player. But he did blast his brains to pieces wif nuff acid (and possible latent mental health issues), hence he quit it all adopt a Howard Hughes-esque existence and pursue a career in grave digging!
He played with the thousand yard stare and childish expression only displayed by the trewly cosmic;)

But post-Green 'FM' should be lambasted as the diabolical, soulless, dross that it is.

Plus, the snooker music is better than the formula 1 music, IMO :p

Christine is like a mulled wine to Stevie's desert rose. It was always enjoyable after a heavy night getting monged listening to Christine's Warm Ways. A soothing, comforting sense of ahh-ness. Stevie's best song ever I think is Silver Springs, the track they had to leave off Rumors.

My dad used to push Peter Green-era blues stuff onto me, whilst my mum loved Tango In The Night & Rumours. I've never heard Tusk, will have to investigate.

I think Green has said he only took acid 8 or 9 times, so it's fair to say it triggered something rather than caused it, otherwise there'd be a lot more Peter Greens out there!

I know this isn't directly related, but one of my favorite albums at the moment is Ricki Lee Jones' Pirates. It's not as good as Tusk, but it's better than Rumours.

Who does Rikki Lee Jones' phrasing really sound like? Ah yes, just got it - Carole King. Listening to this album, had it for ages but not given it many spins.

It sounds like Hollywood, dying. I think she may have been accurate, like a lost thing that's gone. Kindof Ariel Pink, he wishes. It sounds veeeeery, Los Angeles. Not a bad thing, but just does.

OK. I accept that I'm 40 and you lot have managed to get me to listen to Fleetwood Mac and think it's amazing. If you lot ever, ever, do that to me with Joni Mitchell I swear to god my dead corpse will haunt you down and slaughter you in ways hitherto unimaginable.
