i've been finding the ICG's podcasts really good for understanding what's going on. there's a certain level of expertise and a sober tone that i appreciate. one thing i find is a struggle navigating the world at the moment is the bombardment of snippets that don't really leave me any the wiser, they leave a kind of fractured sense of what's going on, impressionistic almost. the ICG commentary has been the exact opposite of that. the thing i kept noticing is the near zero discussion on my feed of what hamas are up to in gaza in military terms for example, you get the impression that israel is fighting against no-one a lot of the time.

i know given the extraordinary level of informed commentary and analysis that we have in this thread perhaps this kind of thing might be redundant.

i really appreciate expertise i think. there's something about being subjected to the waves of misinformation, activism on all sides, guardian day by day stories that provokes a particular affect that i don't like much. you feel like you know what's going on until you open your mouth and it all falls away the minute you try to string a sentence together.

Do you know who else are philosemites? Semites! So antiphilosemitism is antisemitism. Which means you must be projecting all that blather.

he is right. but he forgot to mention he is also semite and thus biggest Arab on forum. this is why noone taking my parent-
host seriously. it really being pity because I cannot be in the abiding of smell of testicles for much longer because father biscuits forgot to circumcise.

No self-respecting antisemite would do that; would you?
Love the idea that Trump is in any way "self-respecting."

Your attempt to gotcha me about Trump and his attitude to Jews is misguided, because I haven't said Trump personally is antisemitic, only that he's surrounded and supported by antisemites. (Which is clearly true - indeed, some of them wave swastika flags or wear T-shirts saying "Six million wasn't enough" just to make it easy for you.) Trump actually is a philosemite, or thinks he is, but he's justified this in terms that are well-worn stereotypes also employed by antisemites; that Jews "stick together" and "look after their own", and also that they're "good with money" - since he sees these as unequivocally good things.

On the other hand, he's also said this:

Think like a programmer and be precise: "some" can mean anything from a handful to millions. Somebody can be surrounded by a handful proximally or by more further away.

must say your id in the form of your underpants raises some good points. Like my ignominious and largely contemptible brother, we are pure anglo-saxon English stock, and have no fear of being mistaken for the other semites.
