According to all the recent media speculation 'dance is dead', could Grime be said to be re-authenticating it? How closely accociated is Grime with the umbrella term 'dance music'?

techno music has so many sub-genres and hybrid genres, with new ones being created almost overnight...what do you think of this? Is crossing genres with past styles, (for example italo-disco or electro), the only way to push electronic music forward? Id it still as exciting as it was in the 90's?
