I too quickly scanned the artist/track name at first and for some reason Va Pete - Bussit blurred into Pete Burns
and I was like, yeah, I guess it sort of fits with
so many new things going on in how people are modifying their bodies.

but probably not the right music, versh!

reminds me of "double hit" 45 7" I saw one time with You Spin Me Round on one side and Okie From Muskogee on the other
I'd like to see that target audience!

LoL!

Closest I ever got was creatine

I can see the appeal of all that stuff for young (mainly) men, aside from the macho boost its a good way to discipline your life.
how did you go with the creatine jack? lots of articles about it now like in the guardian there was one

im not so sure thats true.... at least among casual hip hop listeners.... i feel like nas is still viewed as the "illmatic and then the rest" guy.....

illmatic one of 5 most important albums.... in highschool i heard someone say nas was one of the best rappers ever so i llooked him up, and loved illmatic right away.... listened to it everyday for a summer

'I Gave You Power' is one of the best Nas songs ever, too.

There's something (to risk being a complete ponce) achingly beautiful about 'Illmatic' that becomes stronger the further into the past 1994 recedes—and the records that 'Illmatic' samples recede even further.

Maybe its because its an album by a very young man that's about growing up, that's about his childhood, so it's infused with this sense of nostalgia without being remotely sentimental—and the sense of nostalgia around IT as a cultural object, as something that could never come out in 2025 (unless it was a pastiche) keeps growing and growing
