anyway I'm going to gripe like a pedant because "classical" is strictly 1750 - 1820, and some people have been posting romantic / modern / contemporary orchestral in this thread and if Dissensus excels at anything it should be strict genre delineation ( preferably with novel neologisms )

there’s classical music in general and then the classical period is a specific era within western classical music.


but since we already have like five threads about the former, maybe we should make this thread strictly about music from the classical period?

On my way to see an orchestrally condensed performance of Wagner’s Der Ring des Nibelungen at David Geffen Hall. My first trip to the symphony. Got pretty great seats, first tier balcony in the center, will report my experience. An hour and a half with no intermission
