Was in a local Virgin Megastore yesterday in front of the new releases section and a kid next to me picks up the new New York Dolls cd and says to his friend "I read that this is the same guy who did that salsa song 'Hot Hot Hot'. He's a rocker now."

Didn't know whether to chuckle or look for a bullet to put through my head.

Most kids wouldn't have heard of The New York Dolls at the time anyway. They weren't exactly mega-sellers, you probably have more interest in garage-rawk now than back then.

Feeling old is people discussing The Passions on the Music thread when you can remember writing their name on your pencil case.
