Am I the only person who detests with all his fibre the way they demolish and rebuild this building every year?

It's a travesty on so many levels.

I really like this year's. Think it's quite beautiful. It's quite delicate, but doesn't feel throw away. And even though the food is disgracefully overpriced, you don't actually have to buy/ spend anything to sit down there, which is pretty rare in London.

are you mad? its a pavillion with a coffee shop - which as has been pointed out you dont need to purchase anything at. i think its one of the best things the serpentine has got going for it, they bring in some really interesting people to do interesting things on a fairly tight budget - in terms of exploring new methods in building construction - new wood joints etc... its an invaluable playground.

why you hating on it?
