MAN god damn - i can't understand what people see in this record haha. Spinn, Gant and me were listening to this last time I was out there in the Chi. You can't dance to it. Samples suck. Drum kit and beats sound like ass. The production is shoddy. Seems like a bad joke to be honest - he's making what money he can while he can...Fairplay?

You'll know who the real sound soon enough

I love that killer combo EP. Don't really care if people view it as something else over there, i think Dino Purple Kush is a belter. Killer Combo I rate probably because of the grime sounds in it. I can understand why someone wouldn't but different strokes and all that.

Patrice & Friends is definitely one of the juke influenced things I'm into right now. A big breath of fresh air after hearing so much sci-fi shit with tom triplets and pads coming out of the UK (ok ok and a lot of the US, mainland Europe Australia Japan Antarctica ect too). For real, why in the fuck are people so obsessed with the toms? That's probably the least interesting thing about the music. One thing that makes a weak footwork track to me is one that relies on the toms as a crutch. Most of my favorite stuff from the last 2 years has no or very little toms in it, for real.

Whatever though, sorry for hating.

On another note, this Juke influenced continuum keeps growing but somehow the shit rarely ever sounds like they took a leaf from the Tekz. For the most part, people have only been able to dissect the erratic, cluttered, younger producers and take a page or two from there. Pay attention to the real shit

Trust - Spinn and Manny's albums are mind openers too. To be honest - I think this blows most Juke that these cats have heard out the water. 2k11 sounding like 2021. I can't wait for this forum to hear the shit. Might have to upload samples on YouTube while this tour happens so mfers can hear the heat.

Taye's new to trackmakin but he's putting his work in. He's definitely better than a lot of the crap that comes out.

Boylan's got some new shit on soundcloud. Check it. He's a Tekk, Science teacher in a southside High School and an all around rad dude.
