that's another good one. the xanaxification of society as a reflection of stalled innovation. of economic depression; a world economy that never returned to dynamism. low productivity growth. flatlining globalisation.
jungle is different in that it was the combination of weed with bad Es/speed. so you had this dual effect of time speeding up and slowing down. If jungle was solely based on the weed mindset (as a culture) it would be horrifying. as a lot of the rootsier end of dubstep is.

far from it. I'm actually far more pessimistic than the conservatives. I think we're headed for some kind of protracted economic WW III. however within its agitations/ruins new possibilities might arise. the conservatives say everything is done, capitalism is eternal or will become authoritarian. history can't have an end because its always open to a violent, cataclysmic shake up.
