And any kind of widespread obsession with narrowing and specifying ones identity - this widespread obsession would be a sort of system-wide overhauling of categories, each category having some quintessential consumer to market to. So it would make sense, from the perspective of the system itself, to drive people into ever more passionate crusades of self-realization, self-articulation. Perhaps.

Perhaps one of the fundamental beliefs within any kind of capitalist techgnosis is that you truly cannot oppose capitalism, at least not without severely stunting or mutilating yourself. That would probably be one of the gateway beliefs.

Performative practice, where the lens has inserted a warped but exponential agency of its own. This is where capitalism is at its most cunning - the great beast does indeed have a cunning plan.

Its like a colony, a hive, and the anti-capitalists are the ones trying to flee the colony, but they are ineluctably embedded with trackers such that capital seeks them out. You can hide, but only for so long. The irony is that they are, in effect, despite intentions, among the most adamant of capital's scouts.

How much longer can we put off the alternative approach?: Working from a capitalist perspective. Ideally, as one among a number of perspectives. Schizo. But schizo might not necessarily mean unsustainable. That would be the trick: to systematize a sustainable schizo meta-ideology. Maybe D&G already formalized it - not sure. From what I've seen, they've intimated it and pointed toward it.

As much as the etymology insists otherwise, this doesn't feel like an ultimate capitulation to capital. It just feels like a strange truce. If we can see that capital is, in and of itself, not diametrically/essentially opposed to communist interests, perhaps this kind of transition can be smoother, no?

To be clear, the road through capitalism is far from being mapped. But the road against capitalism seems to end only in cul-de-sacs off the grid. Fugitives against a swelling tide.

What was once merely inside us now almost totally enshrouds us. No wonder capital is so easily framed as some kind of transcendent/infinite archon-like agency. It is the ever-more-inner becoming the ever-more-outer. An ever more robust externalization of ever more essential cosmic forces. And we would be the dividing line between inner and outer, seemingly.

Part of the reason I'm being so dense is because I'm trying to avoid facile dogmas. Somewhat deliberately trying to avoid taking a position, instead opting for a perpetual repositioning, launching stringed arrows from a variety of points. Or shining beams of light from a variety of points, so as to illuminate as many faces of the topic as possible.

The repositioning isn't all too strategic, as of now. A bit arbitrary. But I'm sure there are strategies to develop. Ideological combinatorics. Sequencing one ideological position after another (edit: psychic codons, or psycho-axiological codons). Pretty much using "ideology" and "broad value system" interchangeably. Again, maybe D&G got here first, and have worked something out. If they have, I'm just unaware of it.

I guess it's ok to avoid facile dogmas but if you dial up the density till it becomes a private language it doesn't really help anyone. You get locked into yourself.

Remember this stuff is not theory it's people describing their experience, things that happened to them in real life.

True, and I'm always one to get carried away. I tend to think of it as dual tempering, getting both more refined and more accessible, even though sometimes these forces oppose each other.

But I'm perhaps not the best to testify to more concrete experiences, seeing as tend to live in the abstract. The rewinding of the string of thoughts ought to be a relatable and practical thing. Especially useful if you just experienced a series of thoughts potent in pathos. If you just has a particularly poignant streak of depressed energy, or elated energy, or frustrated energy, try to retrace your autopiloted steps, and identify what particular thoughts engendered what particular pathos.

So perhaps understanding this ostensibly higher order would require us to understand how our will is transformed by our techne. We may tend to think that techne is more or less an extension of our will, but perhaps it does more than extend it. Perhaps it augments the will itself, rather than merely augmenting the expression of the will.

edit: that is, if the will is circumstantially informed, relatively informed, and techne comes to increasingly constitute such circumstances, the feedback loop becomes more and more robust.

the tech is interesting but it's working on a structure which is already in place

its working on positive and negative feedback. A biscuit when you do a trick, a smack on the nose when you do a poo on the carpet

You see what I'm getting at Stan? It's not dense or complicated. It's not theory. It's not philosophy. It's very very simple.

Yeah "training" just means "we live in a society," important to have that ironed out first

but also important that this isn't just something we 'know' on an intellectual level. You need to get that visceral felt realisation of the process, you need to 'see' it in action.
