His thing about the office, partridge, nathan barley losing bite as they float away from being a structural critique to the rinsing of a character feels a bit reductive and joyless but there's something there, it is prescient if you look at say the brent film, life on the road.

A minimal techno guy in belfast said the same thing as westwood to me about dubstep, "i just dont understand it, I can't find the beat'

Much more subversive is the apolitical kid from hull who dreams of robbing all the rolexes, because unlike the labour simpleton, he understands that class is not a single cultural ideal but an international social relationship which cuts across borders and involves global supply chains which can reflect various cultural forms.
i wanna hear his album when's it out

bandz ahoy
Ooooooh

I always found him the only funny one on Mock the Week. Albeit given to making nasty jokes. Nowadays he's very much guardian friendly and even writes for them. Also a big grime/hip hop fan.

He's funnier on the moral low-ground

I like his New World Order shows. You can tell he is on a total wind up with the long sections about Baudrillard and Debord.

Even in the Mock The Week days he was referencing Chomsky and stuff in his columns. I'm not surprised that he likes Mark's stuff.

I didn't know that. Had to turn off NWO because couldn't stand that round table setup

Looking forward to Third crushing whatever ridiculous ideas they will have picked up from Mark's new book.

Not really, his crushing last time around was what, conflating psychedelia with schizophrenia? Not very satsifying. Were there bits of the acid communism stuff you found ridiculous?

I don't watch him or pay attention to anything he does, but I don't mind him. He's just out there somewhere, being Frankie Boyle.
