Raimi's Spider-Man has much more clout as memes than the MCU stuff. There's a whole subreddit dedicated to it and you see a ton of them in general.

I actually can't be bothered with this it's not giving me the marvel hit im addicted to. It's too old and slow.

i think the marvel movies did a big mistake making the final villain someone who thought he was doing the right thing instead of an image of evil

Yeah that what I was saying about Killmonger.

That's an interesting point they don't have real supervillians do they. What does it mean?

Killmonger sounds evil, what does "monger" mean? Fishmonger is someone who sells fish right, so I guess Killmonger sells death!
Although it also sounds like a word schoolkids use for a person with learning difficulties which is a flaw.

I've actually never seen any other Sam Raimi movies except Spiderman 1 and 2. But I thought Spiderman 2 in particular was so well directed and also has the most sympathetic villain of any superhero movie.
You should watch Evil Dead or Evil Dead 2.

that they want to be "nuanced" and portray evil as a point of view or a result of circumstance.

"ah so the bully wasn't really mean, he was just the victim of an alcoholic father"

Disney have been doing that with their live-action prequels too, e.g. Maleficent.

I sometimes think Marvel deliberately makes their villains a bit bland so it doesn't take the spotlight off the heroes.

The shining exception to this rule is Thanos, who has a tragic backstory but is also a genuinely menacing presence.

Luka hasn't seen Infinity War or Endgame yet so he doesn't know about Thanos.

But tomorrow his life will change.
