i find this quite a compelling move and it was only getting really into prynne that made me rethink it and reexamine the possibility that god is not good or not worthy of praise

i can understand how stan gets to capitalism vis deleuze (via nietzsche) and it involves basically the jettisoning of the whole notion of against
there might be something to that, yeah
i have a friend who is embarking on the same project [trying to be the embodied mirror of capital, in an individual; trying to Extol it because it manifestly Is] so stan can't shock me/it's not something i'm interested in holding his feet to the fire about, though

if prynne believes that then "I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day" - for they are together in the choir that praises Him.
the praise that is His due is so beyond any possible estimation of 'worth' from our side

He is the Annihilator and the Builder alike. He does all things. there are wonders He works in nature, with nature, against nature [these have the same prefix in Hebrew, take that as you will] that we are too busied with our work or too often asleep to witness let alone Grok or Describe, and wonders He works in the same manner that we will never witness, that have nothing to do with us - the chain of creations and extinctions from before our time. for all of how important, even singularly important, we are to Him, our anthropomorphism and geocentrism has to be qualified. it can give license to neither presumption nor despair about our condition, glibness precisely is the enemy.

people have a stereotyped image of D&G as kind of an intellectual flash in the pan of decades passed/maybe specific Receptions of their thought leave a bad taste in peoples mouths neither of which is *not entirely unfair but it also has nothing to do with what it's Subjectively Like to read their work or listen to either of them speak

Capitalism and Schizophrenia i gather is like the Wake. it helps to read it out loud, to return to it again after having given up, to Forego access to secondary/tertiary literature/commentaries on it and just hike its paths with your intuition

it is not incumbent on you to hike the whole system of trails but better to learn it through multiple and always necessarily fragmentary excursions; it's something that calls aloud for a Saturation Job the same way Bible or Wake does but is only rewarding of that saturation job to a certain kind of temperament

this could actually be fruitfully linked to the concern d&g have with evolution, the contested + confused history of the idea of evolution, their recourse to metaphors from natural sciences dealing with the not only non-human but things with which quotidian human life doesn't often work with or consider, processes happening beneath our feet (ie, geology and rhizzome)
i'm not sure yet if D&G are perfectly anti-anthropomorphic or if they do subscribe to a Qualified anthropomorphism

sometimes you have to say, yes, yes, very good but can pay attention please, i need a conscious and alert, responsive human being here not a stand up comic, and anyway ive heard this one before.

one thing you are right about is its often necessary to give people a shake when they slip into one of their 'routines'

one could say that with this thread of d&g and the 'pushing at the limits of thought' thread Together what they intended as the practical upshot of their project was that we, us precisely, are capable of thinking and doing more than what workaday life limits us to/what we limit ourselves to [because of fear of the non-human/extra-human], that we should span a wider circuit in where we wander than Flat-Job-Uni-Job-Cafe-Flat [this was an Explicit goal of contemporaries + political allies of theirs, it was an idea ~in the air~ in their time], and that we should dare to take on more than just Academy and Counterculture and Politics

but something in the reception of that project obviously short circuited such that the IDF and american academics and english music critics 😬 are all over D&G, communist militants find almost no use for them (almost none that isn't in some way Covert, Coincidental or with Caveats), and artists that have the same practical goal reach it by other stages/have Jettisoned the work of interpreting D&G

i'm making like 20 typos/mistranscriptions of my thoughts a minute because i slept very little and have to go to a very psychically damaging job in less than half an hour, my apologies lol

communists are Reactionaries and counter-revolutionaries that is probably the reason for that
[childish] it don't matter if you can prove that we are because you must needs be admit that 'american academics, the IDF and ENGLISH MUSIC CRITICS' are self evidently so
