But there's plenty of words around those records already, and plenty of people over praising them

That whole album's weird. It's good, but also feels completely lifeless. Something subdued and empty about it. The cover's bright red, but it feels greyer than The Infamous.

i wouldn't call it lifeless but it definitly has an airless quality to it, they had lost alot of friends around that time (hence the Scarface RIP at the end of Hell on earth(front lines)

man P is on peak performance, its got the bleakness of their other albums but its got a level of colour and texture the others don't have "Veterans Memorial" is amazing Can't complain always had a freefalling quality to it, "Three" with Cormega,YOU CAN NEVER FEEL MY PAIN

YBE for its time was weird cause NY rappers weren't fucking with New Orleans guys like that but P saw a kinship between him and B.G. the fact taht 2 of the beats are done by Just Blaze and Bink who you'd normally associate with Jay Z?

all that without mentioning keep it thoro if Infamous is gunsmoke and snow, HNIC is like a fading summer its cold and hard but thats internal its a great snapshot

2 is really funny in ways that i feel were intentional and unintentional. his rapping isn't what it was before but its proof that he had such a gripping presence even when he didn't bother to make words rhyme

that and the beats are spooky like wind blowing through the trees horror movie stuff alot of Carpenter sounding synths and restlessness cause he was heading to jail for that gun charge aswell as trying to beef with everybody in the tri-state area
