I'd encourage all the yung ppl, Americans or otherwise, who haven't to back before jungle and listen to breakbeat hardcore aka ardkore and adjacent things ca 1991-late 1992/early 93 - there's gotta be a million threads if you like. I'm taking big labels like Suburban Base, Reinforced, White House Records, etc as well as, if you dig around, a million obscurities of varying degree. That is, far more than jungle, full-on kitchen sink maximalism, big dumb pianos, rave stabs, chipmunk helium vocals, etc. Often amateurish, always bursting with life, the opposite of the OP ghost in the machine business.
DJ Red Alert + Mike Slammer, Manix, basically all the early Suburban Base stuff, aren't bad places to start. And The Prodigy of course, thru 92 at least

Like I think this is a good post and you had multiple good points but I have strongly disagree that OP is erotic at all, let alone a mess of erotics. It's if anything totally de-eroticized, the body taken out of body music (again see also IDM etc). Which idk is probably also Deleuzean, but totally removed from the vitality, and messiness, of the erotic.
Reaching for the noumenal I can see more but idk, that Renaissance stuff is reaching for yunno the sacred whereas this is reaching for idk...like a kitsch retro take on 80s cyberpunk notion of "cyberspace" as more than the sum of its parts, literal ghosts in the machine

Tbf there is a late classic era, like mid-late 95, jungle track by some B or C-tier producer (I don't remember who) that is a hilarious, extremely 1995 on "cyberspace". Wish I could remember the name, it's by someone like T Power but less good I think.
