well this is what people suspect isn't it? that governments would rather ship in labour from abroad than invest in and educate their own populace.

I'd say the blood is ultimately more on the hands of executives and other private sector actors, because it seems that there is often little governments can do to dissuade firms from maximizing profits by exploiting child labor elsewhere.

Outsourcing labor to underpaid workers abroad? No, but automation is the threat in some of these other cases.

Its not inconceivable that many of the responsibilities a nurse has can be outsourced to AI natural language processing modules, which are directly hooked up to this or that database of records and information. They'd even be able to administer certain medication, I'd imagine.

I wouldn't be too sure. Not replace nurses entirely, in fact I doubt that will happen for a very long time, if ever. But having interactive AI modules that can assume some of the responsibilities of a nurse, allowing the nurse to focus on more complex tasks, why not?

Just to take away any tasks the nurse needn't be bothered with. I'm hardly familiar with the industry, but I'd imagine there will always be examples of such things.

Yeah recently my dad and I were waiting for his friend to pick us up from the airport, and we went into a hotel bar to get a drink, and we needed to complete some multi-page questionnaire first, so we both thought never mind then.
