Weird this is popular with hip young dekmantel attending white queers because it's the most joyless, most heterosexual and ham-fisted take I can think about on house music. But then again white people love exalting failures as a barometer of anti-capitalist subversion, even though capitalism in general produces more failures than successes, so where the subvversion is, I'm lost. But I wouldn't be dancing to a track called land of oz (poppyfield mix) in the rave, so maybe being a true white kid is lost on me.

I hope you're right. But dekmantel does feel a bit like a whites only enclave. Of course it isn't, but it feels that way. Ash Sarkar at leawst got that right.

Does anyone actually enjoy them though? I know how to make our takes on house/techno great, put a Welsh Jarvis Cocker on the piss over our records to mumble all over them and take a huge crapola. And people moan about ninj mikey's brother on a helter skelter rave tape!
Mind you, the few occasions they didn't make vocal tracks they were acceptable.
