That's it. Much needed. But the meme is chainlink started defi run in. 2021, will start real world asset run in 2024/25.

Or... An AI coin with actual utility. $gnus might be that, but even my ahitty $aidoge airdrop is up hugely, and that has no known eartly application.

But back to bitcoin. There's talk of a speculative attack on the dollar now, in an immediate prelude to hyperbitcoinization. I don't know about that, bitcoin does not have an army, navy, and nuclear arsenal, but an upstart sovereign bitcoin state might.

Russia, France, US reverse uno? UK if I was in charge, but I'm not.

There could be a case to make for Bitcoin has a hedge against fiat power while still not being able to compete with fiat power per se. I personally don't believe it will work as a currency, unless there is some highly-regulated and collateralized stablecoin derived from it, but even then, we already have the stables on Ethereum.

Yes, it's too clunky for day-to-day, but then so are treasury notes. That's what we're talking here. Billions secured, billions transferred. No, something like Lightning Network for microtransactions. Even if BTC is rebased to Sats, transactions per second on chain is obvs a non-starter. So Bitcoin L2s.

None of the stables pass the sniff test. Maybe USDC, maybe DAI, certainly not Tether. No-one should or will trust CBDCs, apart from normies like Tea who will think "it's simply the best thing since slice bread!" and wonder why they can't buy verboten contraband like lamb chops on a debit card.

Accused crypto laundering mastermind dreamt of being a Buddhist goddess

Zhimin Qian dreamt that the Dalai Lama would anoint her a reincarnated goddess and that she would go on to become the Queen of Liberland, an unrecognised micronation on the Danube, where she would build the biggest Buddhist temple in Europe.

A fugitive from the Beijing authorities, Qian had the funds to believe such mad dreams could become reality: huge sums of bitcoin from a £5bn investment scam she allegedly ran in China, defrauding more than 128,000 people.

A crypto trader known as MistaFuccYou shot himself live on X (formerly Twitter) after losing his last $500 in a meme coin rug pull on Friday night.

Before pulling the trigger, MistaFuccYou loaded a revolver on stream and said: “If I die, make me a meme coin.” The gun misfired twice. On the third attempt, it fired.

The livestream, which ran for over 30 minutes after his death, had him bleeding out while the crypto community reacted in real-time as meme coins using his name flooded the market within minutes.

North Korean hackers are behind a record cryptocurrency theft, according to the FBI, in the latest cyberattack to enrich the regime of Kim Jong-un.

The US law enforcement agency has accused a group named TraderTraitor, also known as the Lazarus Group, of stealing more than $1.5 billion of the cryptocurrency Ethereum in a digital raid last week on the crypto exchange Bybit. The sum stolen exceeds the $1.47 billion that North Korea spent on defence in 2023, according to open-source intelligence website Janes.
