what grime loses as it is pushed towards the cartoon is that subtlety, evocativeness and that naked romanticism.

it is there early on but is sidelined later.

what have we got so far? can anyone summarise? i've lost my clarity.... and im cooking.

In these 26 theses presented at the Milan Meeting of the International Communist Party in 1952, Amadeo Bordiga sets forth his conception of the “invariance” of Marxism, utilizing colorful examples from the histories of religion, mythology, ideology and science as well as the class struggle, denouncing “modernizers” (he says they are worse than Stalinists) “weasel assumptions”, “foolish clichés”, “bourgeois prejudices”, “aberrations”, and “nonsense”, and everything that stands opposed to the “common doctrine of the party, uniform, monolithic, and invariable, to which we are all subordinated and bound, putting an end to all chattering and know-it-all discussions”.

this is a massive cultural retreat. in fact the beginning of the end really.

an interesting direction that wasn't moved forward tho because of the reterritorialisation.

we're onto something!

the split - the repression - the switch - the return of the repressed.

role reversal. changed sides.

"this becomes that by decrees"

its not the fact of the voice i have a problem with it's the conventions of song structure which seem like a step backwards in terms of UK music. (cultural cowardice)

this is the one tbh tethering my 1gb phone internet allowance in class and chatting to my mates in canada and leeds.

but in a way i guess it tried to keep 92 alive. and when you force it when there is a split it never works. the authorities and tory gangsters had already fucked it over by that point.

WFMU has a radio show subtitled "strength through failure". is "cowardice" always a bad thing?

um. i think defeat is useful. the familiar consolations of defeat. licking of wounds. the renewal of all possibilities. insane hope. regathering strength and replenishing resources in the rubble of all our failures.

i think that's an inevitable part of the cycle.
