Really this thread serves to A) document my efforts to better appreciate other people, to whatever avail, and B) provide insight into the mind of a person who feels the need to document such efforts to better appreciate other people.

Who are you most attracted to on this board Clin
A matchmaking of avatars, interesting. Consciousness unfettered by bodies. I assume I can't say myself, or at least this version of myself.

Maybe luka
Maybe you
Maybe polystyle
Maybe linebaugh
Maybe constant escape (Fine, doesn't count)
Maybe poetix

I seriously love that song. stadium anthems are a certain level of genius, deserve a thread of their own.

@suspended any suggestions for things to do around NYU? Heading down there from the Bronx now.

Meeting with a friend - a quaint environmentalist and chef-in-training - and her sister, and maybe our other friend - a "Natural Man" and a Trumper.

Try Gray Dog if you want a nice place to work, I alternate espresso and beer ther, slightly pricey but nice. Wash Square Park farmers market, Milk Bar. HousingWorks bookshop is a classic, there's a scene from Girls there, great used selection. Strand books as well, and there's a great vintage book shop across the street. Taboonette if you like Mediterranean. Really amazing chai and Indian in Greenwich area, on McDougall... Saigon Shack? Thelewa is a hole in wall with amazing chai Quantum Leap has the best vegan dish in town, a seitan skewer

doomed thread from the first
Yeah I agree, I just think this could be an interesting chain of thought to revisit later. I am much more comfortable with a conceptual, cerebral basis to things, which isn't to say that they need to stick around or be enforced inauthentically.

And as I said elsewhere, I'm naturally not a very sexual person, in fact it largely seems like a default setting I'd like to be able to switch on and off. And at certain heights of power, sexuality strikes me as a liability, between #MeToo and peadophilic incrimination schemes.

That said, I stand by this thread and the motivation therefor, insofar as it is about non-sexual attraction between presences, being attracted to other people in non-sexual yet nonetheless potentially intimate ways.

Yeah, but she's a friend primarily and having met yesterday I don't think I really even do have a substantial sexual attraction to her.
A sort of trend I've detected, a feeling of perversity in the prospects of sexual engagement with people my age. Courting mortals, if you will. Finding an older - in essence or in existence - person, a more gnostic one, may constitute an exception, however.

Visiting family. I'm staying with my aunt in Riverdale, Bronx, and I also spent a night in Breezy Point at my great uncle's bungalow, a familial center of gravity for over 90 years.
