Sounds like a cross between Sun Smells Too Loud era Mogwai and MGMT.

If pop music is the culture industrys simulation of a nebulous sense of transcendence - a la Kernkraft 400 football pub glass eye neuroticism, or Laroux's feminin presha through melodramatic nail bar anglo soul, then I must admit I find it embarrassing how people can be committed to pop culture past the age of 25 once the integument of innovation is rendered subordinate to the process. There comes a point (ribbing on the abrahamic theme) where one tastes from the tree of knowledge. Pop is the garden of eden, and the fall is real, even if not literally, mythologically. The poptimist past the age of 30 is like no, no, no, throwing their toys out of the pram like a petulent toddler, pretending that by closing their eyes to their fall, they can regain their innocence. But of course they only delude themselves. This is the only sense in which Adorno was correct, not in any other.

The best Katy Perry songs ranked:
1/ Waking Up in Vegas
2/ Teenage Dream
3/ I Kissed A Girl
4/ The One Who Got Away
5/ Hot N Cold

You couldn't be more wrong. Hot n Cold is her only good song, proper reticular, postmodern hook, desubstantiated logistics. a ditty. Waking Up in Vegas is 90s kitsch.

Not the chorus the chorus is trash but the verse... Otherworldly

I'm gunna listen to Sun Smells Too Loud right now sounds gr8 old man

It's disgusting. The worst band of all time. I found Andy Weatherall played them in 2009 in a tracklist, he must have been smoking too much ganja that year because usually his taste is solid. Noone is without sin. This is the number one rule of being a dj. The trick is to own up to them.

strongly seconded.

on the indie tip i've just got a load of my 25-year old CDs out of storage and there's some right old shit in there, secret goldfish, holly golightly, k records compilation, etc, but also some better stuff like the blues explosion and or course stereolab
