Out of curiosity, can someone hook me up with a bunch of links for 'jazzy' examples of juke? Trying to formulate a project in my head... Not necessarily in sample material either, but in sound/tone, etc.

hey crowley, spinn's probably done the most jazzy juke tracks -

jabba does some pretty good ones too, if slightly swhackier -

What do you guys think of the Young Smoke album? I remember someone asked for more bleepy kind-of juke some time ago in this thread well here you have it I guess. Hardly any sampling. I think it's pretty wild. Tho I must say I have a weak spot for space-themed music and I can only dream about a remix EP by Arpanet. Listening to Warning really reminds me of playing Half Life when I was younger, that scene where the reactor exploded and the whole alien thing got set in motion. Other tracks that stand out are Believe In Me and High Den A Mother Fucka.

the young smoke album is too slick and clean for me. i was expecting some crazed bleep-footwork thing but its not nearly as full on was i was expecting. maybe i need to listen to it with clear expectation-less ears but im going to wait for bangs n works 3.

loving that Martyn remix, makes me want to listen to Juke again.
Think I need to re listen to the 2012 album releases again out of context
