Heres a mix it did a little while ago now using a mixture of Ableton and Vinyl thinking some may enjoy here - Reggae/Hiphop influenced/influencing music starting in India-MiddleEast-Africa-Japan/China-USA-Central/South America- Carribean Islands.

I came across a site a few years ago where someone was compiling individual high quality recordings of all orchestral instruments for every note/playing style, violas/violins/cello etc and putting them up for free download cant seem to find it anywhere now anyone know about this?
hello people, im thinking about constructing a mix of jamaican music/influenced music ordered along a geographical path across the world for my university project and am thinking of starting in Bristol as thats where I and the uni is based, I can easily include some jamaican influenced music but...
I'm not really a big listener of UKHH anymore but i still think that the emcees are alot better at battling/freestyling; maybe its just personal taste, that they tend to keep the same basic rythm/rhymes, constraints of the tempo or that its so full of yoot and that freestyling takes a long time...
I know there was stuff coming out in the 80's 90's, been checking out bush babees - ambushed, mad lion - real ting, ahser d & daddy freddy - raggamuffin hiphop, anyone got some other suggestions for some good ragga hip hop either in that period or more recent?
lost my record centres and need to get some new ones, wondering if anyone knows where i can get those chunky metal dome shaped ones that you can pretty much throw your 7's on? Can't find em on the net anywhere.

Digital culture = Disposable culture? Would be interested in what anyone thinks, I did write a fairly long pointless waffle on my theories but it was long and pointless. Also is popular music dead as an art form in comparison to say 50 years ago or even 20 years ago?

Anyone else into this kind of sound ? Been liking Parno Graszt, Ando drom, Gogol Bordello, some loyko, got a random compilation of some russian folk with some good stuff in it, quite like balkan beat box aswell. Anyone got some suggestions/ things they're liking at the moment along these lines?
can anyone recommend some really good bebop albums? I know a alot of artists that have done bebop but most of them have done lots of other stuff aswell so its difficult to find any gems.
