Remember us? Well not to worry, the main thing is we're back, and due to the unfortunate loss of the Glade Festival this July we’ve organised a little summer shindig in a hot basement, café and garden, to party with one of the artists who was destined for Glade, and is in our opinion HOT PROPERTY right now.

In Bristol for the first time, we can only describe this guy’s music as attention-grabbing – from making big movements early on in West London’s broken beat scene, he has managed to surface along with the likes of Seiji as a champion of the new UK house sound. Don’t expect plodding 4x4 beats and drab synthesisers here though; Danny’s music is an ever-evolving mesh of influences and beats, from jungle to techno to house to garage, summing up the WORK manifesto with its unquestionable funkiness. With the imminent release of TWO ALBUMS this year, a huge remix for Ikonika on Kode 9's Hyperdub label, and a forthcoming EP on Martyn's 3024 imprint, Altered Natives is rolling the ball with serious intentions right now - and is gonna be laying down a 2 HOUR brukkout for you all...you ready?

Joining him will be Numbers' latest signing: the new, trailblazing UK house madman Slackk. Combining his feeling for chaotically hyped grime sounds with the throb of bass heavy House and UK Funky, this guy's making vital and unique music - with a focus on absolute footstepping aggression. Check out his tunes before the rest of the scene jumps on him. Word on the street is his performance at the Numbers gang's recent Sonar Festival party was powerful with a capital OW.

The doors of the stylish Take 5 Café will be thrown open onto the balcony and smoking terrace, and descending beneath you will discover a small basement filled with a few kilowatts of the Urban Scrumping crew’s hefty sound system – a perfect environment for getting hot and dirty in the dark. There will be a cheap bar serving the usual Red Stripe and ting...please don't bring in your own booze, there will be bag searches for everyone on the door (free of charge).
