This month we fulfil a long-held ambition by welcoming Virgo AKA Mr. V. Virgo is a titan of both bassline and grime music. He’s one of the DJs synonymous with the Niche club, Sheffield’s original home of bassline, and the producer of classics in the genre such as ‘Hypnotic’ and ‘More 2 Da Floor’. His history with grime goes back further still, taking in beats for the likes of N.A.S.T.Y crew and the seminal A.R.M.Y label. Today he’s still at the top of both games, as well as diversifying with work for UK rap success story Giggs.

We’re just as excited to announce the return of Marcus Nasty to our club. Marcus also has a past in grime at the head of N.A.S.T.Y crew, the pioneering collective which back in the day had everyone from Kano and Jammer to Newham Generals and Terror Danjah passing through. Now, of course, he’s UK funky’s most famous ambassador at home and internationally. Over the past few years, for our money Marcus has been the best DJ on the mighty Rinse FM, week in, week out. At any rate he’s one you can rely on to amaze every time.

Finally we have up-and-coming Londoner Motive. Motive is best known as a DJ and presenter for Don’t Watch That, the online TV channel created by grime impresarios Tim & Barry. We’ve also been watching him regularly do the business at nights including Dirty Canvas. He’s able turn his hand to grime, funky, dubstep, hip-hop and bashment, but more importantly is as tight a DJ as they come.
