BLACK RAIN is the downtown NYC cyberpunk techno unit manned by Stuart Argabright of Factory Records' post punk legends IKE YARD and RAMELLZEE's pals, DEATH COMET CREW. BR first manifested in 1989 and later scored a soundtrack to the audiobook version of William Gibson's pivotal sci-fi novel 'Neuromancer'. Earlier this year Blackest Ever Black reissued that score on LP. This will be BR's debut show in Europe and promises to be unmissable.

POWELL has issued two deadly 12"s on his Diagonal Records label. Raime called his last one "unique and admirably steadfast in its assertions. Music with foundations." It's fucking hard to pin down his style but it's got bits of industrial techno, some '98 D&B swerve and an itchy post punk thing going on, making nods to Alan Vega, Mika Vanio, Regis - that sorta stuff. We like it so much we're releasing an EP of his on our label, The Death Of Rave. He'll be DJing at this event.

ACID ALAN is the genuine Manchester legend you'll never read about in the tired and rehashed history of manc dance culture. He's been around since the original rave daze and then some, and he's reputedly got one of the best Belgian New Beat and industrial collections this side of Ghent. We're honoured to fly him in all the way from Stockport and have him spin an education upstairs at Gulliver's.

Faktion's REPLICUNT will fill the gaps

For five hours on friday 5th October one loud, dark and sweaty corner of the NQ will be very attractive to the rainy city's non-compliant quota.

It's £6 in and we'll probably put a number of £5 tickets in Piccadilly Records sometime before the date.
