He's in there with Tarantino and Sorkin in terms of having a recognisable style of dialogue (a style that some people absolutely abhor).

But I'd say he set the comical tone for the marvel movies after Avengers.

I don't know, I find much many of Stark's bitter and witty comments funny. "Shakespeare in the park" etc

It can be a bit cloying even for me as a fan of his. A little bit smarmy and smug.

It works really well for Tony Stark because that's Tony Stark's whole character.

The best thing about the Marvel movies is that they've made Stan talk like a human being instead of a theory algorithm.
