LOL, did an lsd equivalent one of these at berghain one nye and looked down the stairs at the cloak room line and all these giant s&m leather bound guys were taking off their outdoor clothes and were wearing studded straps and leather g strings. When they started to walk up the stairs I was convinced it was some kind of LOTR ogre invasion. Didn't last much longer after that. Went to get my coat, left the exit, had a dodgy zip at the time so I was basically wrestling with my jacket for what felt like forever in front of the whole line, attracting huge laughs all the way down. Somehow this didn't phase me too bad and I gave up on the jacket for now. Tried to get a taxi to my Airbnb, couldn't remember if it was 52 or 152 and got the driver to drive back and forth like 5 times until he got sick of me and kicked me out in the middle of a busy intersection. At this point my field of vision was basically everything I was trying to focus on turning to confetti and fluttering up into the air. Nothing was solid, just clusters of colorful fragments shooting upwards and then floating back down. Finally recognised the way to my street and had the classic 'it keeps getting longer' sensation, felt like 30min to what should have been 5. Finally turn onto my street, still barely able to focus and could not find my door. After 15mins of trying around the area I was pretty certain it was, and I think it had an angel as a door knocker or something else memorable, I gave up and decided to lay down on the doormat of a randomly picked door. At some point a girl taps me on the shoulder and asks if I'm alright and if I needed help, I said 'yes I live at a place near the kaiser supermarket and I can't find it.' She points 200 meters down the road and asks if I meant that kaisers, and I'm like yes! And it turns out I was laying in the doormat of the door right next to mine. Finally get inside and it's warm and snug and laugh about it all. Somehow even in the most intense moments I didn't feel too much acid style fear. Not in a rush to try it again.
