i did get my mate to download the album converting vegetarians and i had that burnt to a CD. this one was the tune i remember being 18 camping in the outback looking up at stars with a load of drunk irish people. camping on beaches and hitchiking all of that. there was a window of dance music which was absolutely in the mainstream then which was transcendance through tunes which is ultimately sort of real and sort of fake which i was chasing after. glade was just before that it was a window into that kind of alt culture something a bit closer to the real deal than i'd got to before and a double bill of DJ AFX in full punishing acid mode followed by squarepusher or the other way round was pretty amazing. and loads of my friends were there all the druggies i'd met in the previous years had all congregated in the same place there were loads of people there i knew dotted about. driving away afterwards i remember the relief at escaping the psytrance beat coz it basically only stopped from idk like 5am to 10am and the rest of the time you couldn't escape it anywhere you went
