Prithee forsooth dost thou be verily welle-placed to frequente this forum and derive pleasure therefrom henceforth for all its indwellers are of like mynde and similarly abjure the mechanicall clanking and bestial gyrations of the modernes and their prancing-spottes

Thy is unable to asc'rtain the disliketh towards autechre on this f'rum. I finally got into LP5 after years of not liking it, but I've mostly been listening to Amber, Sign and bits off the EPs.

The titles are a great illustration of their parasitical relationship with aphex. Aphex titles have a strange corporate scientific alchemical poetry. An aura, to put it succinctly. Autchre use the same format but with the aura drained away. A negative charisma. An unhappy void.
at this very moment we can probably assume that jeremy prynne is sitting, head in hands, in front of some 6th century ceremonial chinese writing desk, sobbing hysterically because he didn't come up with "windwind"

A French fellow I know made the most extravagant testimonials online about this Paris show from last night

"Autechre, group of a lifetime. How is this possible, with all these songs, all these melodies that exist in the world? .... A decidedly exceptional concert, fierce, lively, abundant, testifying to an overflow of creative fury and enthusiasm....

[beaucoup plus de mots élogieux]

"There is music, and there is Autechre"

Well, I agree with that.
